The North Eastern part of India or to be specific Sikkim, has some of the most beautiful hill stations nestled between the Himalayas. Staying at one of these hill stations in Sikkim will give you your money's worth only because of the views it has to offer; snow capped mountains in winters and lush green in summers. Your trip planning to Sikkim is sure to be fruitful with our guide.
1. Pelling
The most popular reason for tourists to visit Pelling is the views of the Kanchenjunga. The entire mountain range is clearly visible. This includes views of Koktang, Kumbhakaran, Kabru, etc. The destination is sprinkled with natural lakes and waterfalls as well. We assure you that this is probably one of the most picturesque destinations in your Sikkim tourism itinerary.
2. Yumthang
This is one destination that is left purely untouched. And we mean it when we say that there's no human settlement here. This destination can only be visited as a picnic spot because the nearest facilities available are in Lachung, 26kms away. However, Yumthang is famous for its variety of Rhodendron flowers. And you can get the most delicious Rhodenderon green tea too when you go to a market place in Sikkim.
3. Aritar
Located at the tip of the Himalayas, Aritar is a treat for every single nature lover out there. This offbeat destination will let you experience the rural life of Sikkim and you will be left thoroughly charmed by the destination and its people.
4. Lachen
Have you ever seen a Yak race? No? Well, head over to Lachen in the summer months and you get to see their spectacular, annual Yak race in Thangu. Lachen is situated at a height of 2750 m and forms the base of Chopta valley. They also have the unique Gurudongmar lake which is open to Buddhists and Hindus only. Also, a treat for travelers is the rich diversity in wildlife.
North East is perhaps the least traveled part of India. But once you reach there, we are sure you would want to be there for as long as possible.
